Agony 04:24
AGONY When Agony is close behind Put down all the pieces of your mind Let the rivers of eyes make you blind And succumb to the arrows of the great divine When hiding out feels like a drug And loneliness fits all nice and snug Come out of your skin and give it a hug! And lay it on the floor like a bear skin rug Wasted time is not a tangible thing You can’t collect it from the landfill You can’t buy it from a king It’s passing on another level Ooooooooooooo I’m satisfied alone, But constantly keeping an eye on the door The finest time to walk is the finest time to crawl And there’s a hole in the wall And I’m not in love, not in love Made some exceptions for the days that we were together And I know it’s time to let you go, but I’m afraid that I won’t Find nothing better oooooooooooo

Constant and Relentless V1: Privacy is just a matter of time The curtains hide the outlines Of twisted shadows that are hard to define It think he’s eating my heart out!! V2: And I don’t know what he’s singing about It’s constant and relentless Tell me how to get you out of my head and Onto my mattress Chorus 1: Living in the city with my people holding on I got to get out right now cause my ears hurt And I’m wrong V3: I’m buying ingredients, but I don’t know what to make I just want to eat it with a spoon Are you real or are you fake? I hope I find out soon Chorus 2: I’m happy in my window, I can see you from afar But I know I’ve got to climb out if I want to find out who you are When memories are all you’ve got It’s constant and relentless I’ll wait it out – I’ve made it this far. But it’s hollow and it’s senseless It’s hollow and it’s senseless…. It’s constant and relentless!

Baby Fever 05:06
Baby Fever V1: Wake up silly eggs, I noticed you are here This may sound rather frightening But my lady clock is ticking to deaf ears CHORUS I am holding on To the ones already born And the ones still yet to come And the ones already gone X 2 V2: Baby fever’s gone by Without an antidote Without an aspirin Or aspirations for a baby Still got a few years left Maybe I will care for one Already on the earth or push a new one between my legs CHORUS Bridge: If you want me to I can stay here I will go outside But don’t ask me to make a break for it If you’re not up for it, or if you can’t decide. CHORUS

All I Know 02:37
ALL I KNOW Wake from your sleep in the blue lit sky All I know, All I Know Shiver in the night, rise slowly in disguise All I know, All I Know You were a child not long ago Compared to the history of the universe Wide eyed and ready for the day, for the day All I know, All I Know Watching the clock tick tock, OH MY GOD!!! All I know, All I Know Make believe that you are here with me Though no one can see behind the shadow of the tree You passed away, but I still see your face In the snow, in the cold All I know, All I Know, All I know, All I Know

LONELY MOUNTAIN Verse 1: Rainy Days come to us all I watch them from across the hall And out the window I see water fall Try to touch it but instead I hit the wall Chorus 1: Lonely Mountain How did I find you? I think I'm here to stay Hold the women buried inside you Like a sexy cemetery Verse 2: I get a lot of things done It's the secret of my cannibalism But when I see that water fall the oil in my blood will separate the truth from the wisdom Chorus 2: Lonely Mountain I want to climb you Before the break of day Scale the edges with a harness and a belt loop I got to get away Bridge: A pitch fork and a couple of beers I will dig my sweet ass right out of here changing with the weather and rolling with the tears I just hope it won't take years Chorus 3: Lonely Mountain I will defy you Some strange and ugly day find the beauty in the places where it's hard to look Love is hidden away

about

The making of this album has been just that: A Matter Of Time:

What began as a full-length album back in 2014, has turned into a 5-song EP, which after many twists and turns, is now the 3rd studio project release by singer-songwriter Katie Sachs.

This albums covers topics, such as: choice, resilience, life cycles and defiance. As Katie's first completely solo-produced album, the focus was on creating something lyrically honest and sonically representative of who she truly is as an artist. Growing up with Billie Holiday, Bessie Smith, Janis Joplin, Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, and Ms. Lauryn Hill as her vocal icons and teachers, this album displays her roots in early Jazz/Blues and Neo-soul. (Of course with her own unique twist and multi-faceted musical taste.) The result of all of it is "A Matter Of Time."
