I wrote this song after a one night stand I had many years ago that unlocked some things emotionally for me in a pretty profound way. I had just blown up my life in Western, Massachusetts and moved across the country to focus on my music career in Austin, TX. “The morning after,” I found myself crying for the first time in a long, long while. The crying continued almost daily for about 6 months, and when it finally subsided, I felt clean. It was cathartic. Everyone has a deep, core need for belonging. To be told that “they are good.” I hope that this song can provide that for people. You are good!
